This November, B&LPR client, ORA Orthopedics, shared a unique success story with the community: the story of Andrew Gregory, 31, a combat veteran with five tours of duty to his credit – made possible, in part, to two spine surgeries at ORA.
The surgeries happened three years apart while Gregory was deployed at different locations around the world. The first incident happened in the Quad Cities, while he was stationed at the Rock Island Arsenal. But the second injury occurred in Afghanistan – and Gregory told his military commanders he wanted ORA’s Dr. Michael Berry to perform the surgery.
The military agreed and flew Gregory from military hospitals in Germany and Washington, DC back to the Quad Cities for surgery. Things went well and Gregory was back home the same day he had the surgery.
The story, first published on the Let’s Move Quad Cities website, also ran on WQAD-TV’s Let’s Move QC Feature with reporter Angie Sharp.
